Pre-K Reading 12/17/2025 – Holiday Book Giveaway!

The Pre-K Holiday Book Giveaway was a tremendous success!

I told the kids that it was a special day - that they were going to get a book of their own to take home with them. I told them it was one of our favorite books we’ve been reading all year and asked them if they could guess which book it was. They all spoke up in unison “Pete the Cat!”. Everyone got it right and I guess we did too 😊

The students were in the middle of moving to a new classroom that day, so the event happened outside at the picnic table. But nobody minded. After the book giveaway we spread the blanket in the sun to read more books and had a wonderful time.

It was my hope that when the children brought home their new book, and their folks saw how excited they were about it, it would inspire them to read together more at home. At the very least, I know these books will bring the children joy whenever they choose.
