Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes
Pete the Cat is a classic. Pete’s creator, James Dean, starting drawing his beloved blue cat back in 1999. So “Pete” is officially 25 years old as I write this. In 2008, the first Pete the Cat book “I Love My White Shoes” was released by James Dean and Eric Litwin.
I had read this book before and I liked it, of course. But today I experienced the true magic of what this book can deliver, and that is as a sing-along.

One of the qualities that makes this book a classic is that it appeals to all ages. You can read/sing this story to a baby or to an 8 year old and they will love it, and you’ll probably love it yourself. What’s not to love? Its an interesting story, cool character, great message, engaging art work, and to top it all off, a snappy tune. I love it all. And that’s why this book is one of my all time favorites.
